Vocabulary

Malana's vocabulary is increasing all the time. She can say "mama" and "dada", and it seems like she's associating those sounds with us more and more. Unfortunately, she tends to use "mama" more when she's cranky or sad, and "dada" more when she wants to have fun. :)

Occasionally she says "wow", but I think it's because it's fun to say, not because she's amazed by something.

She can say "no" once in a while, and is really good at shaking her head when she doesn't want something. She also shakes her head when we tell her "no"...like when she heads over to the cats' food bowl. She knows she's not allowed there, but she thinks it's fun to have us chase her.

Occasionally she says "dat" for "cat", and now she says "kuh" for "book".

In sign language, she knows "more", "all done", "eat", and sometimes "milk". It's so fun to watch her learn!
